This is getting to be a disease, funny how you start noting things. In the New York Times Magazine 8/30/09 there is an article on the Bryan brothers (Bob & Mike) who were identical twins and one of the top rated mens double tennis teams. They also have a rock band. In an image on p. 26 there is a stand of guitars in the background, and in the center is a Guild dreadnought. Can tell it is a Guild by the shape of the headstock, the curve of the name and the chesterfield, pretty blurry but obvious.

Oh, OH! Judith Durham, forget the guitars! (Although I did not know they were a Guild user)

I understand that she could or did sing in halls without a microphone, as her voice was so powerful...it does seem that her mic gain is cut back at the end of the song...

Thank you for putting that up, will have to look at all those videos.

Perhaps one of our brothers in the UK can confirm or dismiss the above...

Nice shot of Petty & his Guild 12'er.....

Also saw a cool show last night with Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate), Peter Buck (REM) & Scott McCaughey (Minus 5/Young Fresh Fellows, etc.). McCaughey played a nice sounding Guild dread.... best guess is that it was a D25.

OK, now HERE is an obscure one...

In the new (?) Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen compliation CD (The Early Years 1967-1970), there is a photograph of singer Billy C. Farlow with a 'burst Guild acoustic, with the West Virginia Creeper playing steel beside him...

Pretty good CD, most of the stuff is live or jamming in an apartment, etc.

..."lost in the ozone again..." :D
