Eh ... at least Don; mittens and rubber booties? Where ya going; Canada? ...Stay warm! John

Traverse City. Going to one of those indoor water park hotels for a few days with family. The last of the Christmas parties! I think it's usually in the mid 80's inside & plenty humid. 8)

Lemme know what you think of the place Don. There's one of those in Niagara Falls that looks like a nice weekend or weekday getaway.

Here now. Just settling in before going down to the water park. Nice place....we went to the first one, Great Bear, in Ohio a few years back. Great for the kids, fun for adults, but you get through everything pretty easily in an afternoon. 3 days may prove a bit long.

Our Politicos wonder why we Canuckians flock to the US for Vacations and such. Here's one reason;

Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City rate for a family of 4 from Thursday to Sunday

Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls same thing

Gee I can't figure it out, if you folks can could you let us know. :shock:

Then I guess it doesn't dawn on them why Amerikans don't flock north ... even in fair weather .... Other than Chippewas, Aleuts, and Inuits, do citizens from any particular countries 'tour' Canuckistan?

Large influx of Asians usually around Niagara Falls all year and most of Ontario in the early fall as the leaves change colour. Other than that, it does not dawn on them why we have such high vacancies. Guess they have to raise the rates to make up the difference? :?

Interesting; we have cheaper leaves here ... must be something in the Viagra River that interests them .... I guess it's always possible that they feel welcome there ... that's extra in the US, you know ... it's particularly annoying to Amerikans when Asians are well-behaved and thoughtful ... is there casino gambling at the Falls?

One of the biggest industries in Hong Kong is casino gambling ... wuz wonderin' if that was part of the appeal of the place ... although in the US, various Indian tribes have been empowered to build/operate casinos ... like the FL Semiholes .... can see AN Smith's room for a modest fee....
