Word's out I've recently taken delivery of a couple Blueridge guitars for my basement store. This has been a pretty hectic week at work, but I've managed to snap a few pictures this evening.

First is a slope shouldered dreadnaught, BG-60.

I'm working on a webstore & will try to include some nice reviews there. Until then...let me just say these are both extremely fine instruments & the glowing/positive reviews you'll find all over the web are for real! 8)

The BG60 is a laminated braz back and sides right Don?

They are nice looking guitars for the most part, some of the headstocks, IMO, are a bit much.

Nice burst on them.

Correct.

Yes, they do go overboard on some of the inlay work, but it's flawless.

I like the shape of the 343, how does it feel?

Pricewise, the 343 is about the same or near the GAD 30 isn't it? The BG 60 is more than any of the GADs no?

Would these be the competition for the Blueridge?

Quite comfortable. I have generally preferred the jumbo body styles, but nothing feels awkward about this.

343 retails for $795. The BG-60 retails for only $650.

Would the GAD's be competition for the Blueridge? I'm probably not the best person to answer that.

Sorry, didn't mean it like that. :)

I meant on the price point, build quality, etc. GAD, Epiphone, Taylor DM all those guys?

Rumor has it, but I've heard the GAD and the Blueridges are made in the same factory. According to Greg Rich, who used to work with the factory in China that manufacturers them, they are made in separate locations in the factory building.

Rudy's Music Stop and Carmine Street Guitars both sell Blueridges in town here - I've played em, nice axes!
