Congrats on scoring a gorgeous guitar!! Welcome to the forum!
    I like the JF30 so much, I have 2 of them, a black 03 and a blonde ‘92.

The Guild for the traditional old-school jazz purist! Smooth as silk! Creamy tone but excellent articulation.

More modern jazz cats might prefer the Gibson. A bit more bite. Sounds great, but...

So cool. Now you have the “zing” of maple/spruce with the JF30-12, and the rich fullness of the rosewood/spruce F512! You’ve got the bases covered! And you’ll still be in an equity position! Can’t...

So do I! It’s like the “bear claw” looking grain on some tops. Very few builders would use it, unless they were going to cover it with paint (like a black guitar). Back in the day it was viewed as...

I can hear the difference on 3 of my guitars. (Guild F50r and Gibson SJ 200) I had ivory pins and switched to ebony. Warmer and articulate.
On my JF30s, I can’t really tell the difference.

Looks like the clear vinyl cover is still on the TRC.

Sound hole pickups work pretty much like electric guitar pickups, and sound like them too. There are some that are kind of decent, but most do not sound like an acoustic guitar. And string to string...
