Got this off of Reverb. This is why I was looking for knobs.
The cabinet is a mess. I don't know why Guild didn't finish these, but this is the second Timberline I've seen in person and they've both been a mess. Everything functions on it, though the chorus and Rototron is buzzy and/or hissy.
It was supposed to come with the Guild cover (the was obviously never used)
Size comparison next to my G300 that I sanded and treated with lemon oil. This one desperately needs the same treatment. I'm toying with the idea of doing a very thin coat of poly on it, but I don't like to make things non-original - I'd rather restore it which is what light sanding and oil will do. And new knobs.
Also, the guy who picks all the killer wood for Guild guitars must not have worked on the amp cabinets. What do you think, are knots good or bad for tone?
This amp needs some love and I'm just the guy to give it to it. Wait... that sounded bad...
It's so dirty and worn that it just looks like pine.
