Someone mentioned Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance over on the We now play Yamahas thread, and rather than add to that two-wheeled veer over there, I thought I would start a new thread. I read this book by John Jerome in the late 70s and really enjoyed it. I had a '38 Chevy pickup at the time so I could relate, but beyond that it's a nice little reflection on the state of technology, manufacturing and product permanence at a time when things were beginning to change rapidly. I think this group might enjoy the read too. After all, it's funnier, earthier and wiser...
