Guitarist in Little Richards band, Hamburg, 1962 - pretty sure it's a Guild (he used what looked like a Duane Eddy in another clip I saw):

Definitely a Guild, truss rod cover is quite distinctive and part of the Chesterfield inlay is visible. Looks like Franz pickups. T100DP?

Very cool photo of Little Richard and his band. I like the suit coats, white shirts and ties! The "ivory" tone and volume knobs would indicate a T-100 DP from around '59.

In keeping with the theme of B&W photos from the 60's, here are a couple of shots of Cornell Dupree playing a Starfire III. He is playing a club date in May 1966 with King Curtis and a young James Marshall Hendrix. Cornell Dupree was a NYC session player who recorded on hundreds of Jazz and R&B records. In the 1970's, he played with the band Stuff, a session player supergroup.

The photos are in this article from Premier Guitar. On page 2 is the one with King Curtis and Hendrix. On page 4 is a clean photo of the Starfire III with white DeArmond pickups. Any help with the posting the photos is appreciated!

Thanks for the assist from Down Under, Zelja! The original caption notes that "Hendrix is playing a right-handed Fender Jazzmaster upside down at far right" in the first photo. Cornell Dupree played on the King Curtis instrumental "Soul Serenade".

Hendrix in a Tux! I love it! I don't know where you find these photos, Ralf. You come up with some great stuff! The performance was supposedly at a release party for a Percy Sledge album on Atlantic Records.

Don't know if this has been here - but I just caught a blink of Carol Kaye playing Guild Electric 12-string

It is on this video

I love power pop and Pat Dinizio is my musical godfather. I've been a fan of The Smithereens since before they were famous and played the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ in the early 1980s. He mainly used his Guild for solo shows outside of his work with the band. RIP Pat.

I saw Pat solo in Red Bank at Jazz In The Park held at Riverside Garden Park. I was surprised that he would be playing a Strat all by himself. He made it work well. During the evening he commented that he was able to make a career from an Em chord!

Redd Kross plays an eclectic mix of music from punk to power pop. Here's Jeff McDonald with his Guild.
