I just located Ms. Morrisett playing a Guild JF30, I believe. If anyone wants to give me directions on how to do this right please do, but here goes:

1. youtube.com
2. type in: Hand in my Pocket- Alanis posted by "stillevolving"

I like this wierd woman, and even like her more since I found that she has plays this song on a cool Guild jumbo.

Here you go.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tft8jGnWqLs

Just copy the URL of the song you want. In your post locate the cursor where you want the link, hit the url button and paste the video url between the brackets. If you let the video play a few seconds, then back it up to the beginning and pause it before you copy the url it wil magically begin playing when folks click on your link.

There are more tricks that others can do, but I cannot.

Fantastic post of Jerry G. Steffan! I know he liked to play on a Gibson SG. Do you know what model of Guild guitar that is, without me having to look in Han's book.

I'm a "senior", and that would be a days work. Can you help me out here?

Now, not to deviate too much from Jerry Garcia, back to Alannis, she saw fit not to play her Guild guitar in this video. I suppose that I will post this in the interest of a true musicians' artistic merit, if nothing else.

I didn't even notice the flailing til you guys pointed it out. Don't you suppose that her back-up musicians coached her a little on how to strum that song? Also notice the harmonica coming out of her pocket for the solo.

Nonetheless I have noticed in other songs that both Alannis and Cheryl Crow mistakes on guitar are often covered up by their band's lead/rhythm guitar players, ya think?

Regardless I still like the playing as it is.

I came across that picture of Jerry not long ago, accidentally while looking something else up...never saw it before either, but knew this group of misfits would appreciate it.... Steffan

Very cool!

I had not noticed Weir playing the Guild.

That video is a cut from the film "Festival Express", I believe. A truly entertaining film, if you haven't seen it. The Dead, Janis Joplin, et al.
