Maury's Music online has a great selection of bone pins - in a bunch of different sizes and reasonably priced. Here's the link to the sizing guide:

Bridge Pin Sizing Guide (The 4.2D size is for Guilds)

And here's the link to the first of the ordering pages:
Bridge Pins

I've ordered many sets from these folks and they fit my acoustic Guilds just right, and look sharp too. Not to mention the benefit in tone and response (not drastic but noticeable) over stock plastic. And - on top of it all - they're nice folks and very easy to deal with.

Hi there,

would you guys say that bridge pins which are slightly too small "eat" tone? The previous owner of my F50 installed very nice bone/abalone pins, but you can pull them out with the strings installed. The strings will stay put, though.

Will properly fitted pins improve tone?

Cheers,
Recky

I am sorry to inform you all but Gordon Orth and his Wife, have recently passed away. Their business now belongs to someone else. I cannot say who owns it currently but I will post once available. There business has been kept active. I will inform this Thread/Forum within two months of today's post. Thanks for your understanding.

I don't know if I'd call a year and a half 'recently', but thanks for the reminder - I guess :| :?

Gordon and Betty were good folk... I think of them often when playing my Guilds. D
