Very nice guitar but in my opinion a very optimistic price.

I just wondered : when did the pu covers change from black to white in the guild x 175 ?
I think that you will probably find that Franz pickups for sunburst guitars usually were black, while blonde guitars were white from the earliest production. Here’s pics of an x330 from 1953, and an x150 from 1954 illustrating the point (see Hans’ book page 30). The X175 and 175b seem to follow this pattern. There will of course be exceptions!!

And yes....price seems a little high, although I don't think you'll have much luck finding one signifantly cheaper - the pre-pandemic prices are a thing of the past I'm afraid. that said, this one is priced one thousand over acceptable IMO.

This *is* a particularly nice era for X175's though - they're the last of the slightly smaller/shallower bodies, they still have necks that are very similar to 50's Gibson necks - that super-ergonomic neck profile with quite a bit of depth but not too much shoulder, ànd the fancy diamond shaped Kolbs...
not much later the bodies got bigger and deeper, and the general build got heavier, necks got a little skinnier and narrower
