What's an X-170 "E08"?

Twice now in my search for an X-170 I've come across one with an E08 suffix. Both of them are blonde - which may be a coincidence. Does anyone know what that means?

Thanks.

Hello Bella,

What you saw were two X-170s finished in 'Amber'. That's what it means!

I assume Amber is different than Blonde?

Yes, it is different. Amber is the somewhat 'richer' looking finish, while Blonde can be somewhat 'pale', especially when still new. However, over time 'blonde' can get the same 'rich' look as 'amber', but that takes many years.
The 'Amber' finish you see on instruments from the '80s is very attractive.

Sincerely,
