I am looking at a Guild Starfire IV here locally, the guy is asking $1500.00 but I offered him $1200.00. It is natural maple finish with mahogany neck and stop tailpiece. It is great condition and has the orig. case. It is serial number AG001750. Any one know what year this one was made and what pick ups are in it? Would it have the SD's? He did call me and tell me he would take $1300.00 but he has had it on Craigslist for a month now so I am waiting to see what happens. My wife wants me to buy it so I thought I might just have to go look at it. Thanks John

GO and check it out, play it and then offer the seller $1100.00! You know the routine!

Hello John,

The guitar is from 2001 and it should have the Fender designed humbuckers in it.

Good luck!

Should look just like mine (a 2000). I'm not a fan of the pickups, so I had mine rewound. Sounds KILLER now. I bought min in **MINT** condition from Norm's Rare Guitar's a couple of years back for $1200.
