Funny thing about maple. I crave the maple sound on a 12er, in fact, I think it is unparalleled, but have not yet found a personal comfort level with maple 6ers...

My D30 is absolutely the best sounding guitar I own -- deeper bass, bigger projection. Amazing guitar. I have rosewood dreads (Martin and Guild DV52),, a wonderful Gibson j45, and the maple Guild is the one that I play the most -- strictly because it sounds the best. Go figure....
