Looking for a new amp, small enough for use in a private house, without making everyone def, and loud enough to gig, possibly.

I am torn between a Vox AC15 and a Fender Deluxe III

I am also open to any other suggestions, looking to spend between $600-$800

Thanks GUILD fans

Not familiar with the Fender at all, but the AC15 will be loud in the home...yet possibly not loud enough (at least with clean headroom) in a performance setting without micing...nice amp, though...but not like the AC15's of yore...

I'm no authority, but I think the Fender Deluxe is more powerful than that Vox. I have a Fender Blues Jr., and it's definitely more than loud enough for the home. The only times I gigged electric, the Silvertone and Montgomery Wards I had at the time(both from the Valco factory), connected at the spare inputs, put out all the power I needed, without cranking up. They were both more in the Vox AC15 power range.

Buy them both (used), play the hell out of them, keep the one you like, sell the one you don't. You will almost always be able to sell the one you don't like for the price you paid... assuming you buy used/private party.

Buying both, if i can find them is actually a pretty good idea. I hadn't thought of that, and worst case if I like them both, HEY two amps
