I rewatched the whole series this past year. It holds up pretty well, though the handling of Sam and Rebecca always seemed off to me, as did the ending. But overall I love this show.

I remember this being the first show where I came to the realization that humor has a distinctive style. I recall thinking how different it seemed from what was on TV at the time. I felt the same way about Taxi. This is also the first sitcom that I would make a point to watch every week. Loved Cheers.

That was a funny show. My Dad once met BeBe Neuworth’s dad and her dad said something like “by the time a tv audience sees a new actor, they don’t realize the 10 years of work that went on before that.”.

I liked when they would ask Norm how he was doing as he entered the bar and he would answer with a funny quip.
