I am still breathless after DD's finale of Classical Gas/25 or 6 to 4 on his Standard Series 12-string. Man! And after the way he pounded on it, not even a scratch on the big girl...of course the strings were so white hot you couldn't touch the guitar...LOL! Many thanks to Carl for having Doyle, for Guild for sending him up and all for putting on such a fine evening.

Yes, that was a very cool show/clinic. I think my favorite tune was the one he named after his granddaughter (Grace for Layla, or maybe it is spelled Leila?).

However, I did think they missed an opportunity to point out the breadth of Guild's product line. For example, I don't recall them mentioning that the 12-string was a standard series. Could have had a GAD up there, too, just to show the uninitiated that Guild has entry models as well as Doyle's pricier signature guitar.

Great to see Doyle back in wistah. He is truly amazing. It was truly funny to hear one of the audience members ask him who he's played with... You tell me... Chet Atkins, Doyle, and Merle Travis - who's the supremely talented one? :)
