That was a headline of a major Austrian newspaper (online); what caught my eye was not the news but it was illustrated with some Guild 12-stringer (chesterfield, dread?)

"The instruments were Petty's blond 1967 maple 12-string Rickenbacker and his Gibson SGTVJunior, Mike Campbell's blue Dusenberg, Ron Blair's Fender Broadcaster and Scott Thurston's 1967 Epiphone Sheridan."

I can only hope that ends that guy's career in "security".... sheesh. I always want to ask people like this after the fact, knowing that they'll probably not be able to get a job now, "Was it really worth it?" For $250?

What an idiot! Didn't he think for one second that a pawnshop, if reputable, would check if the instrument was listed stolen, and furthermore, isn't there a hold on pawned items for 30 days? Not to mention it was all over the news and internet.... geez, how dumb can you be?
Glad Tom and the HB's got their gear back. Too many of us don't!
