I have what appear to be three factory original NOS replacement tines for a Fender Rhodes, the original instructions, and what is left of the original package. Anyone here know if this has any value, and if so, how much? I figure it can be researched online, but I really know zero about what I have, and what else is out there. any info would be greatly appreciated!
PS anyone here need them??

Fender Rhodes used to be the ultimate keyboard. Old ones are still ridiculously expensive, and they apparently came out with a new one in 2021 that is WAY ridiculously expensive. My synth has around a dozen acoustic piano voices and three or four dozen electric piano voices. And that's just the keyboard voices. The Rhodes has one voice. Granted, it's a classic voice, but considering the capabilities of 21st Century keyboards, it's almost silly to go with a Rhodes unless you're making millions as a musical artist. The Rhodes also weighs 140 pounds.

You might be able to sell those tines on ebay or reverb.

I don't consider myself as having a particularly discerning ear but I used to be able to tell the difference between a Rhodes and a synth or something else emulating a Rhodes. But if I could save a bunch of money I might not worry about it.

In the Wretched Excess category I humped equipment for my college roommate's band. (He played bass). The keyboard player gigged with a Fender Rhodes, Hammond B-3, one Leslie and a girlfriend I had a crush on. At least she'd dance with me while the band was playing.

Wow, that's being well equipped! I can't even remember what keyboard I gigged with back in the 70s, probably borrowed, along with the Ampeg I borrowed from Jean Ray.

Well, you used to be able to pick them up in the late 80's for about $50 for a full suitcase model, after they were "replaced by technology." ;)

Prices started going up once digital home studios became a reality, and people wanted to have them for their recordings. These days being able to produce that kind of product on a small scale is ridiculously expensive due to the amount of manual labor involved.

No idea, mav. Good luck getting some answers. I'll bet there's a forum out there for this kind of thing if you poked around...

Yes, but a can of beer and a cigarette just don't look the same atop a synth.;)
Don't put your beer on top of an old Rhodes. It'll fall over. How long did it take CBS to figure out that people stacked their Minimoog or Solina on top, and then squared the top off?
