Q: Why is this for auction again? What happened the first time? Did the buyer send it back?

A:
The guy I sold it to was not happy that the pickups were upgraded in 72 and sent it back. I was not happy about it but we do guarantee 100% satisfaction. It is very nice for being 50 years old.

I wonder how the buyer found out regarding the 1972 date of the work, maybe there is a note in the pickup cavity regarding the replacement work done. It might even say if it was done by Guild or another person. But it's also strange that people buy such guitars without making their research beforehand.

I like this guitar even better with the changes, regardless of who, when or where. I'm bidding on it for now anyways, but I'm not willing to pay $2000 for it.

Being a fellow owner of a 60s Starfire VI that has been spruced up by Guild (in my case, over 40 years later) - ain't no shame in the game, and getting over 3k for a factory modded Guild is a generous amount on the buyer's end.

Wow! I bet the seller is happy!

First auction closed at $1999 with one bid an the guy returns it.

He relists and it sells for $3201 with 16 bids!
