My mom used to HATE Steppenwolf (probably because I played it so loud), but I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever heard. I did hear John Kay on one of those PBS 'nostalgia' shows a few months ago and he was about the only one on the show that wasn't just sad.

Anyway, thank God wrinkles don't hurt. They say that time may be a great healer but it sure is a lousy beautician!

I saw Steppenwolf about 5 years ago. The years have been good to John Kay  They really rocked the place. John Kay played a bevy of sweet Rickenbackers. I won tickets on the radio station and got to sit in the VIP section, brought my pickin' buddy along. :D

For the encore, they did "The Pusher Man". It was really an excellent concert.
