Few people know that the Reciprocating Dingle Arm is a fundamental part of most models of industrial Flummery Agitators. There are a few made in former Eastern Bloc countries that use an ellipsoid radial drive belt instead. In some cases an additional overhead transitory loadlink is also used, but that arrangement is often scorned as a "belt and suspenders approach".

Where did the 'Dingle Arm Man' come from, you wonder??

This is the info my buddy sent me:

This is a funny and classic presentation by Rockwell International. Several years ago, Rockwell International decided to get into the heavy duty transmission business. They were getting ready to tape an introduction video, when, as a warm up, the "professional narrator" began what has become a legend within the trucking industry. This man should have won an Emmy for his stellar performance. Remember, this is strictly off the cuff.

I somehow had the idea that the Dingle Arm was mainly used for picking berries.
