More than you ever wanted to know about ebook file formats here, Geoff. Of all of them, I like epub the best, and wish that you could get Hans' book that way.

.epub is what I load into MoonReader, but I have Adobe too for .pdf's. Just wondering what format Amazon downloads/purchases come in. I'm sure I could find out, but I'm lazy. Anyone? Bueller?

But how many pieces of flair do you have?
You do want to express yourself don't you?

I have used books and eReaders. Of the top of my head an eReader will not replace all books in my life until:

a) I can trade a physical copy of a book for an eCopy without having to pay for it again.
b) I can borrow anything that the public library will let me borrow in physical form in eCopy form as well.
c) I can drop my eReader in the bathwater and not lose anything except the time to dry out.
d) I can still use my eReader after five days with no power, just candles.
e) I can use my eReader on an airplane during takeoffs and landings.

That said, I find the eReader most useful for "professional" reading when I am looking things up or reading reference material. I find it least useful for pleasure reading.

I also prefer having a real old fashioned book in my hands. Now, for murder/romance/fluff kind of books that are dime a dozen, I'll take it on an e-reader any day, but for classics, I like having paper in my hands. :)

Sometimes I think it's better to have an actual physical book (especially when there's a layout/format that doesn't translate well to a digital device), but I had a bunch of ebooks sitting on my laptop that I never read. Once I got a tablet I found myself reading at least a little bit every day and have as many as three books going at once. There's definitely something to be said for convenience.

Here's a page I came across that lists a bunch of links to free ebooks.

But remember - the medium is the message.

Hey guys, if you check the blogs tab, you'll see a link on the right sidebar to The Guild Book on Amazon. If you purchase through this link, a portion of the sales prices comes back in support of LTG. The Affiliates tab also has a growing list of affiliate advertisers that give a percentage back for every purchase.
