This thing had been taunting me for months... a blem came up with a steep discount for nothing but a small chip no thicker than a dime in the pointy headstock and a snapped high E string.

It has a carved top mahogany body, set 3 piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck & JB in the bridge (with push/pull tone knob for coil splitting), Tonepros bridge & tailpiece.

I even bought myself a yellow pleather snake skin strap to go with it

I've had it a week, very fun to play... sounds great, definitely needed some fret clean up out of the box, but a solid guitar
(The wife and daughter LOVE it too!)

Some of those ESP LTD's are really nice, especially with they Duncan pups. Great value. I regret not buying one of their Les Paul shaped guitars that I played at a local shop priced at $450. It played and sounded great.

I'll bet it screams, congrats!

You know it! Thanks

Back in the mid 80s, I spent countless hours at 48th Street Customs in NYC (ESP custom shop)... some of the BEST basses and guitars I'd ever played were in their showroom. They were 2500+ in 85 and worth it... but my budget never matched.

This LTD was about twice that Les Paul shape... but worth the price to me. Other than the attention I needed to spend on the fret ends, everything is solid and top quality.

I love your eclectic taste, James. That LTD looks right at home on your macrame rug!

Thank you! The wife gives me crap for always being mismatched, but I tend to seek out vibe.

You know the rules: buy a guitar with a pointy headstock and you have to send me your red Starfire...

finally got my pickup covers, ordered the wrong size the first time :) I also spent a bit more time on the fret ends... they weren't sharp, just not as rolled as I like.
