Default remarked in a thread that the only compliments he will get about his looks will be at the viewing. That reminded me of something my Aunt told me, this is true.
My Aunt and Uncle live in Nova Scotia, Maritimers all their lives. He's retired Air Force, built like a brick glop house. Very dry sense of humour, very good people.
Anyway one day my Aunt comes home from work and goes into the bedroom and Eddie is sleeping. Flat on his back. My Aunt, Isabel, looks at him for a moment then takes her rosary beads, places them in Eddie's hand and folds his arms across his chest. Just as she's finished he opens his eyes and asks her what she's doing. Isabel says I was just looking to see what you'll look like at your viewing. Eddie asks, "How'd I look?" Belle says, "Very handsome."
Eddie says to Belle, "Your turn" Isabel lays down on the bed, takes the beads and folds her arms. Eddie looks at her a couple of ways. Belle says, "Well how do I look?" Eddie says, "It's going to be a closed casket!" :shock: :lol:
I almost pist myself when she told us that.
