I have not seen much written and only a few YouTubes regarding the T-50 Slim. No cutaway, no block inlays, and only one pup. But something about it...

Anyone here own one?

Yup! I own two of them. Ones in really nice shape, (pictured below,)
and the other one's a beater that lives in the basement that I work out new tunes for the Band on.

So what is it you would like to know about them?

While I'm posting I might as well throw up a photo of the "50" trio.

T-50, X-50 & A-50

Ah...a connoisseur! Are these reissues? Very nice trio. I am guessing you would give these a thumbs up? No specific questions just seems odd that there isn't much out there on these. Of course I like quirky so...

Well the T-50 was a "student" grade instrument so it was one of the less expensive Guilds sold. Also at the time there were not many guitars for the youth market with out a cut-away so that kind of makes it an old man's guitar. Therefore there's not a lot of vintage interest in them. Why Guild chose to reissue them is beyond me!

Didn't I remember some guitarist in an Indie type band played one?

Found it! The Lumineers.

I was going to mention them. Do you think that's the sole reason for the re-issue?
I don't know, I doubt it, otherwise they'd use him in t heir ad copy. Maybe they were just looking for something that a lot of other companies weren't doing.

I must be an old man, because it seems like the right configuration to me. I don't use the bridge pickup or go above than the fourteenth fret on an archtop anyway. Why compromise the instrument for no reason?

Edit: I'd pickup a new T-50 if they were cheaper. Why are they more expensive than the fancier two-pickup Aristocrat?

If you have time, photos and a review would be great.

I will be glad to do a written review with some pics but first I need to recover from a serious disease that involves the taking of photos. I believe I may have an allergy to cameras/phones w-cameras.
