I've been lucky enough to obtain a few of the new Newark Street Guilds over the past few. Great guitars with one vexing issue. The strap buttons on the arch tops (A150, X175, M75) are so close to the heel of the neck that a lot of my straps are difficult to attach and then rub prodigiously when they do. I know I can relocate slightly but I really don't want to do that. Any elegant solutions noted here? If not I'll just consider this my old fart grouse of the day.

It's always been like that on Guilds. It's because the strap button screws into the neck block, wich in itself is a pretty good idea.

There are Guild straps out there that have the hole close to the end and will fit comfortably.
