Starfire 5 S/N CH002372. When was it made. I've had this guitar since early 2000s but can't recall the purchase date. Want date and valuation.

Starfire 5 serial number CH002372. I bought this guitar way back in the late 1990's or early 2000s from musician's friends. They have no record so i tracked down the various websites trying to date this beauty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to LTG! That's a beautiful guitar! That version of the SF-5 was made from 1999-2001 and the only person who will know for sure when it was made is Hans Moust. My guess is that it was made in 2001 based on the high serial number. As far as value, I'd suggest searching Reverb for Starfire 5's that have sold.

I paid $2000 for it back in 2017 but there's a bit of a boost because of the rare color and the fact that it's older so has the SD1 pickups (yours has Fender HB1s which is another indicator that it's a later year).

There is currently an early one (same pickups as mine) on Reverb for $3000 that hasn't sold in a month. If I were selling your guitar today I'd probably list it at $2500 and keep lowering the price until it sold.

Yes, CH002372 is 2001. Hans dated CH002369 as 2001.

those are hard to find. I would try selling on this forum before ebay or reverb, etc. if you are selling.
Also sounds like you are the original owner from new. I would consider hanging onto it unless you absolutley must sell
