Awesome and thanks!

Please know that I didn’t build it, though. A fellow by the name of Don built and ran this site for years. The site owes its existence to him and it owes the “feel” of the place to him and the mods. I bought the site from him a while back and now I’m just the Morlock that keeps the machines running. ;)

My Blog I’ll take full credit for, though. 😎(y)

We know you didn't build the site and we are super thankful to Don who did. This is a great spot for Guild lovers and I'm on the site every day.

However, Gary you did take an already really good site and you added some very cool features and made it even better. I likely never told you how much I personally appreciate all your work and efforts but please know that I most certainly do.

What led me to Guild was when I first started listening to a lot of the American Primitive style players I noticed many of them all playing Guilds. Glenn Jones, Daniel Bachman, Ryley Walker, Joseph Allred… my first one was a DV6 and I was hooked.

I love the LTG forum. I would not change a thing.
I have been visiting another site as I have found myself spending a lot of time with my Strat. Totally a different clientele. It can be very rambunctious.
But am having an issue with noise on my equipment here. I went between line noise and possibly EMI, Rf. One of the members offered expert advise and then sent me a high end Furman noise gate. A brand new rack mount unit. Free of charge. Would not even accept shipping fees. Very unexpected! Very nice guy!

I've been hanging around here for a long time, and both Don and Gary have done an outstanding job with this site!

Yes, this. In the early days of GuitarsbyLeo (the G&L forum), we tried promoting the site and G&L, but it backfired and brought in trolls. Wasn't worth the effort.
G&L are my favourite electric guitars [ I have an SC3, ASAT special, Legacy and an Espada) also a member of GuitarsbyLeo

Thanks! I just don’t want to take credit that isn’t due me.

I love The Time Machine and even the 2002 remake. In that remake our hero meets an intelligent Morlock (played by Jeromy Irons) which is one of the many changes from the original. That intelligent Morlock is called the Über Morlock.

Also after 18 months of staying indoors he kind of looks like me.

Ha! There's always self-tanning or bronzing creams. Safer than the sun or sun lamps. :)

When the Time Machine came out in 1960, I was nine years old. Not sure exactly when I first saw it, but two memories remain clear: The Morlocks scared the heck out of me, and like Rod, I would of course have gone back for Yvette!

Yvette Mimieux as Weena in the 1960 film for anyone who didn't understand:

Whatever one's reasons for seeking a site that concerns itself with Guild guitars, even a cursory search will lead them here.
A few months ago, I began to consider buying a jumbo guitar with Maple tonewood, and when I happened to see a kijiji listing for one made by Guild, I searched and found this site to get information about a brand and instrument I knew nothing about. My point is, those who want or need to find this site will find it, and in my opinion nothing more need be done to help or hinder that.

If you can find a DV52 for a decent price, this is the best deal going in vintage rosewood acoustic dreads!

That get up would make a good rocker stage costume!

Pretty much start searching Guild guitar anything and you’ll find LTG . Searching info about 12 strings brought me here and my first Guild guitar was purchased here . A match made in heaven for me but not so much for the rest of you lot ! Lmao 😂
