Tonight's Soundgarden show at the Orpheum in Minneapolis an awesome, albeit too loud of a show. They played new songs, they dug deep into their past catalog and they put on a great show. Our own danerectal was in attendance as well, although he never got back to me with where his seats were, so I didn't get the chance to hook up with.

At this point I should probably apologize to Treem for texting him the setlist, song-by-song, as they happened. I needed to write them down to help our reviewer, who had to leave before the show was over, so I texted the songs to Treem.

Mr. Thayil started out with a black S-100 with gold hardware, then used the natural S-300AD, a Gibson Firebird, a natural S-100 and, of course, the green S-100. The setlist is as follows: Incessant Mace, Hunted Down, Flower, Outshined, Let Me Drown, Jesus Christ Pose, Gun, By Crooked Steps, Rhinosauer, Hands All Over, Been Away Too Long, My Wave, The Day I Tried to Live, Blood on the Valley Floor, Blow Up the Outside World, Fell on Black Days, Zero Chance, Non State Actor, Eyelids Mouth, Drawing Flies, Ty Cobb, Fresh Tendrils and Superunknown. The encore saw them play Spoonman, Rusty Cage and Slaves and Bulldozers.

It was a great Guild showing.

Okay, now one for the S-100 Owner's Roster from the Soundgarden show, a Guild-by-guitar breakdown of the setlist, to the best of my abilties. I might have mistaken the green S-100 for black at times, but when I mention the green one, it was definitely obvious:

Black S-100: Incessant Mace, Hunted Down, Flower.
Natural S-300AD: Outshined.
Black S-100 again (I think, I didn't make a note of Mr. Thayil switching, but I seem to recall the S-300 made a brief appearance): Let Me Drown, Jesus Christ Pose, Gun, By Crooked Steps, Rhinosaur, Hands All Over.
Gibson Firebird: Been Away Too Long, My Wave, The Day I Tried To Live
Natural S-100: Blood on the Valley Floor.
Black S-100: Blow Up the Outside World, Fell on Black Days, Zero Chance, Non State Actor, Eyelids Mouth, Drawing Flies, Ty Cobb.
Natural S-300AD: Fresh Tendrils
Green S-100: Superunknown.
Black S-100: Spoonman (encore)
Green S-100: Rusty Cage
Black S-100: Slaves & Bulldozers.

And a couple of photos, by our staff photographer Marlin Levison. The photographers can only shoot the first three songs, unfortunately.

And in case anyone is interested, Chris Cornell played his black Duo-Jet, a green Gretsch of some make, a Gibson ES-335 and Les Paul, a Duesenberg Starplayer and a blonde Telecaster.

You must have took some serious notes? Unless you have a freakish awesome memory?
It was the notes, or more specifically the texts. My memory is anything but ... um, ah, what were we talking about again?

Here's a cool photo taken in D.C. on Jan. 18th by someone named Peter Hutchins. Mr. Thayil looks pleased to be playing his S-100. That has avatar potential for someone.
