I normally play sitting, without a strap. I may be doing it "wrong", with the guitar resting on my right leg. I started practicing while sitting on the couch, and managed to get accustomed to playing that way.

He's a natural. How many 15 yr. olds can nail most of the lead slide in 'Freebird'? He showed me all the slide parts without the slide but his techniques so good anyway. He knew alot of recent good rocknroll and nailed the parts. He says he likes to play without a pick (thats the way to learn buddy). He loves it all, almost as much as I did when I was that young.

Used to be I couldn't play standing up. Since I started standing up and playing the guitar, I can hardly sit down and play!

Veer: Generally, in classical technique, the guitar rests on the left leg which is usually elevated with a small footstool. The neck is also at a steeper angle making for an easier, more ergonomic reach.

Thanks for sharing the family gathering pics.
