I bought (actually I stole it at $20 bucks below the extremely low asking price) a '96 D4 with original hs case from a local CL ad. It still had the original strings  . The truss rod was as loose as it could possibly be. Anyway, got it home, polished the frets, cleaned up the fretboard, put on a new set of pb lites and adjusted the rod. Man oh man, what a great sound!!!! Not a lot of saddle left but the set up is perfect right now and intonation is dead on all the way up the neck. Only problem is some of the binding needs to be replaced on the back side. So, I have a great sounding D4 with case for the price of about twice what the case is worth! I know - pics are needed!!! Stand by - maybe I can get some posted tomorrow. Even with all the other Guilds I have, don't think I'll sleep much tonite - enjoying this one right now!!
