Saw Rush last night with my youngest son. Wow! Dare I say it was the best concert I ever went to? One of my all time favorite bands, and Alex Lifeson is one of my favorite guitarists. Our seats were closer than I thought, front row on the first level riser, about 25 yards from Alex Lifeson I could see what chords, etc. he was playing from where I was.

I've been to a lot of concerts over the years, although admittedly I remember very little of some of the ones I saw in the 70's, for "obvious" reasons. But the overall show, and the musicianship in particular, was jaw-dropping.

Saw them twice recently for the Time Machine tour. Both shows were stellar. Alex's leads were transcendent at times. Glad you enjoyed the show!

Kurt - It was not as loud as I was expecting - an excellent mix by the way, certainly loud enough, but not the loudest I've ever been to.

Joe - Yes, I had some bad seats - particularly those 70's "general admission" concerts where you were lucky to survive on the floor. But I've never been this close, which made a huge difference in my enjoyment level, watching Lifeson play up close. And, just to be clear, my memory is "hazy" because in the 70's, there always seemed to be a smoky sweet "haze" around me!
