That's sad - a great songwriter! "Call Me the Breeze" and "After Midnight" come to mind. He will be missed...

He did his own thing in his own way. I play his music pretty regularly; He's a long time favorite.
Play on, JJ, you will be missed.

That news has put a huge dampener on my Sunday. Such a cool, simple man. I'm shattered.

Couldn't agree more. A subtle master, true to himself. Many favourites; 'Downtown LA' being up there. Great lyrics.

From our Sydney Morning Herald here, syndicated from NYT. Glad he rated a mention. They reckon Albert Lee is the 'man without ego'. Cale gave him a run on that one.

Sad to see him gone. Saturday night we played "Cocaine", "Magnolia", and "They Call me the Breeze" in memorial.
