So sorry for your loss. We are still grieving over our sweet Koko dog; we had to do the same thing with her just last week.

It's like losing a family member. Wishing you well.
Yes, I saw your post, poor Koko. Koko and Cabo are chasing each other around doggy heaven right now. I buried Cabo with his favorite toy, a tennis ball, so he undoubtedly has it in his teeth keeping it away from any dog that comes near it :)

I'm imagining dog heaven: An endless supply of bones to chew and tennis balls to chase and maul, limitless belly rubs, sleeping on the hooman bed all the time, doggo friends to hang out with and occasionally catching the squirrel.

Well, if the lion's gonna lay down with the lamb, then the dog probably won't be catching the squirrel...

I'll cheers to Cabo tonight. I didn't know him, of course, but he was obviously loved and I'm sure he gave a whole lot of love. It's always hard to deal with this sort of situation. I've been through it a few times, but aren't we so lucky to have had them in our lives? I once adopted a lumpy, 8.5 year old hound mix from the shelter that nobody wanted. He was such an amazing little buddy and it was my utmost pleasure to share the final 2.5 years of his life with him. They all deserve good homes. Hats off to you for providing that for Cabo 🎾💜
