Rig Rundown - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Mike Campbell

Here's a cool video from Premier Guitar that goes through Mike Cambel's current stage gear; guitars effects and amps.

So many cool guitars but not a Guild in site. If you could present Mr. Campbell with any Guild, acoustic or electric of any vintage, what guitar would you choose for him? And why?

Rig Rundown - Mike Campbell

cheers!

Possibly 'cause Tom won't allow his own Guild 12-er to be upstaged anymore? After Campbell used a Thunderbird on stage one night, maybe?
Yeah, that was a joke, but note, first reported on this forum here, I think:

Whoopsie I see there's a link in that thread that don't work no mo', but there are pics of Tom with a Guild 12-er around here somewhere. Possibly more that one 12-er even, and I seem to vaguely recall that what some of us thought was a D25-12 was reported by Hans Moust to be an earlier instrument, a D212 ?

Cool, so Mike Campbell has used a Guild Thunderbird. I'd love to see that.

Speaking of amps...
i built a weber Reverb tank for capnjuan and in return he traded me the fabled "Petty Univox", a 7591 powered combo with a 15" Jensen. It has "Petty" engraved on the back, but Im not sure if it's Tom or Richard...
