Another great interview by Beato, I never heard much from Robert DeLeo before, very interesting and articulate guy.

FYI, he's the bass player for Stone Temple Pilots!

I was never into Stone Temple Pilots, but Robert is so mellow and plays so well and is NOT the type of guy I would have said was a rock band member. This interview just made me smile quite a few times.

Good luck ever getting their riffs out of your heard, they're still in there, their riffs, in mine and it's been a long time. I have a CD I know without looking because they were pretty great in the moment. My mentor collector - RIP Mark - and guitar store crew went to see them, great reports I remember "a real guitar band" I remember him saying, very high accolade.

Hear the guitars, the bass, and singer here, sounds like Grunge but it's they're playing their own thing there.

Killer band, you'll see pretty quick. That bass player is smooth!

"Half the man I used to be", that song always made me think of John Wayne Bobbitt somehow.

What a band!

3 years before the abomination that is Autotune, enjoying every second of a real human voice from here.
