Hi I’m new to the forum just wanted to say hello and thank GAD for responding to my request for help with the serial number I have a lovely Starfire v in antique burst with what looks to be the original hard case with key and owners manual serial CH002295 I think it has fender built pick ups based on what I seen here.I’ll post some pictures soon want to polish up the metal a bit and give the wood a little love and polish too.wondering if any one has thoughts on the pick ups I could have rewound but to what spec lol?or wondering about swapping out for PAFs or Gibson classic 57 and keeping the originals in the case just in case so to speak.
Or I could leave them alone just try to EQ them with a peddle in any event look forward to opinions and chatting
Cheers Marty

Hi and welcome. That’s a beautiful SFV you have there. If I‘m recalling my Guild PU history correctly, your PU’s are standard size and interchangeable with most HB‘s. My slightly older SF4 has the SD-1 PU’s. These are a little larger; but the maker, Seymour Duncan, said they were basically his version of a PAF. They are excellent; I think many others on LTG agree. That might be a direction to investigate. Good luck!
