I recently bought a superstar 1x15 amp. While cleaning it up I noticed the reverb tank is missing. I need to purchase a new one, but don't know what type to get. Can someone help? There's not much info on this amp, at least that I've been able to find...

superstar reverb

Is anyone able to tell me what type of reverb tank goes in a guild superstar 1x15 amp? The amp I just bought is missing its tank.

Wait for Default to come by and answer. Also there is a vintage Guild tube amplifier page on Facebook that is a good resource too.

Normally, Guild used a 6gw8 and a transformer to drive the tank. A Fender style tank shouldnwork just fine. I will check the tank on my Mav to see if there are any markings.

Thanks for your quick reply! This helps a bunch. I was thinking of ordering from amplifiedparts.com, they seem to have some pretty good prices. You mentioned a transformer driving the tank; where is this located on the amp? Or is it all one piece, like part of the tank?
