Besides 3 separate weeks of intensive instruction every Summer, PSGW also offers weekend 'retreats' during the off season. These are held at a really nice camp near Bremerton WA., and are wonderful weekends that encompass Jazz, Blues, Folk, Bluegrass and all manner of acoustic music.

Here is a bit more info.

PSGW RETREATS 2011-2012 - Recharge your batteries between summers!
It feels like there's never enough time between classes at the summer sessions, so here's a set of events with nothing but time. Sleep late, jam with friends, nap, dance, party. No schedule, no classes, no hassle, no hurry. Same great site; same great food. Families are welcome, whether they play instruments or not. Reduced prices for children 12 and under.

NEW YEARS RETREAT 2011-2012
Thursday, December 29, 2011, Dinner-Monday, January 2, 2012, Brunch.
Cost: $300, or $245 for Friday dinner-Monday brunch
$5 discount if paid in full with a single check by Dec. 15.
We expect around 40 people for this one. A peaceful, engaging way to welcome in the New Year in a warm, welcoming community. We have an intimate swing dance and a wonderful New Years Eve feast, party & late night buffet in addition to the delights of jamming. For this retreat only, it's possible to make arrangements to come for a shorter stay, though it works best for the community if most people come for the whole time.

WINTER RETREAT 2012
President's Day Weekend (U.S.) Friday, February 17, 1 PM-Monday, February 20, 1 PM
$275. $5 discount if paid in full with a single check before January 15, though it's usually chock full by then with around 150 participants. An intense, high energy musical extravaganza. Winter Retreat tends to fill up right away. I recommend registering immediately if you want to get in. If you're new to jamming, you definitely want to come with a buddy for this one.

SPRING RETREAT 2012
Friday-Sunday, April 27-29, 2012. $175
$5 discount if paid in full with a single check before April first. Probably around 50 participants. My favorite retreat. Very relaxed. It's like an old fashioned weekend-long house party with lots of folks to play with and plenty of space to play with them, good food and no dishes to wash.

It would be great to see some LTGers there this year. I've been involved since 1985. Heck, right after coming to my 2nd Summer session in '86 I moved to Seattle from the Bay Area! If you have any questions, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with retreat organizer Fl!p Breskin.
