I was privileged to play and sing at the funeral of my old boys club leader today; he was 92. My buddy Terry played & sang with me, we did a bunch of old gospel tunes. Lots of positive comments from folks afterwards!

My cousin Lenny's funeral is today, out in LA. He was one month shy of his 90th birthday. We were in touch as well as my visiting him.
When my mother died, we had a small gathering at the cemetery, just my daughter, wife and me along with the funeral director. I sang "Wayfaring Stranger" accompanied with my F212 that she had bought for me in 1965. The only regret is that I failed to record it to send to our of state relatives who couldn't attend.
FWIW, she was 97, as was my father when he passed in 2015. I was still weak and recovering from my cancer treatment, so a friend played and we sang the Old Rugged Cross at his interment.
