It seems that there's been a bit of discussion about the new pickguards vs. the older ones. The one here is on my D35 and the distinctive shape screams "Guild!" to me. The newer ones leave me....shall I say, gasping? :?:

I like it a lot. It first nabbed me in the early 70s, and here we are!

That is the classic guild shape and I hope they stick with it. A member here purchased a new F50R and it has the olde style pick guard so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

The newer shape was influenced by the GAD line... and good riddance for the USA guilds. I'm glad New Hartford showed good taste. I wonder if they were listening to us??

I hope they are listening to us. They would be smart to do that. So far I have not met a person who likes the new guards.
