Or the other expanded. I don't know. I was comparing my two JF65-12's and noticed that the burst's fretboard extends past the rim of the soundhole, while the blond's doesn't. My tape measure tells me the burst's soundhole begins 3 13/16 behind the neck junction, while on the blond it's 4 even. More measuring showed the other dimensions to be the same except for the lower bout: 17 1/8 (burst), 16 15/16 (blond). I guess one withered, or the other grew, but in any case the burst gives me more for the money. Gotta wonder about factory tolerances, but I admit they play the same and sound great.

Classic case of Guild variations within a species. Shouldn't prevent interbreeding, if they can be bred in captivity. Any luck yet? :lol:
