My wife has a friend who has a son, about 8 years old now, who has started playing the guitar in the last year or so. Rightly so, she has started him learning the "right way", finger picking classical on a nylon stringed instrument, and learning the foundation basics and reading music. However, the young gent is absolutely begging for an electric already, and today on a quick drop by, she had me show him my guitars. He's done! Never open the pearly gates, you'll never shut them again!
I handed him the X-170, which he picked gingerly at, then he asked if he could try another. I said "sure, what would you like to try"? He pointed and said "that one". Not the Strat, not the Paul, not the re-issue, but the least "pretty", yet my favorite, the vintage S-100. Smart boy!!!! 8)
