It is probably as my daughter says when I complain that contemporary music is boring. She says, "Dad, you are too old. It's not happening through any of the channels you are tuned into. It's flying below the radar of the music industry/major labels."

This music isn't boring. To me it offers a mix of annoyance, alienation, and fascination. I am old. It is in my face. It's doing its job--just like My Generation--Get Off My Cloud-etc previously did?

Maybe. They have undoubtedly listened to them.

But Rage Against the Machine isn't as funky or as cute. Different vibe. And lacking the same frenetic energy.

Another name you could call out is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers but they're not as Metal.

Agreed, an influence on Nova Twins. But they are still very "different"!
