I had an almost identical guitar from 1960, officially one year before they came out :)

I believe the black Dearmonds on mine were stock.

Is the single cutaway Starfire a completely hollow body or of semihollow construction? Thanks!

Thank you. I had a Gibson ES-225 years back and I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of light weight and thin body. They are priced sky-high these days, but a SF-III may be a more affordable option for me.

SF I,II,II or T-100 with large bobbin single coils will put you right in that ballpark.

there was even a starfire with P-90's at one point.

It’s funny. For years you could find 225’s for cheaper than 125’s . I guess less famous people used them , even though they’re supposed to be a step up from a 125.
I still see 125’s for as cheap as T100&SF’s now and then .

Been playing guitar for 50+ years and only just gotten familiar with Guild guitars. Got my feet wet with these, and exploring the electric side now...

I might presume that the long tailpiece/wraparound bridge on an ES-225 is an off-put-er to many. I love the unique sound and feel it provides. I play an ES-295, which has the same arrangement, and have had a couple of 1954-style Les Paul guitars with the wrap around tailpiece.

Didn't realize Brian had that in stock. He has the nicest instruments.
