Bought this from Mike Brindell's recent thinning of his herd. Comes with a Guild gig bag, but I would like to find a case for it. Or, if it comes to it, a generic HSC will have to do.

The question is, will any case made for a Gibson ES 175 work?

Better yet, does anyone know where a Guild mid 60's case might be found? I placed a post in the FS/FT forum, as a "WTB". But I figured posting here might get me a little more exposure.

My very first Guild was a CE100D. I sold it to buy Gibson ES 125 and have regretted it since. Anyway, any help with the case problem would be greatly appreciated. JHJ

Looks like they're selling the (pretty nice looking) Newark Street cases for $120: https://shop.guildguitars.com/product/electric-guitar-wood-case/

You know, if you have the funds to float it, I bet your cheapest option might be to buy a used Newark Street CE-100/X-175/A-150, keep its case and then resell the guitar with your gigbag instead. I bet you could come out ahead of the $120 (plus unknown shipping) you'd pay for the same case from Guild and those guitars are all new enough their cases should be in reasonable shape.

A Gibson ES175 case is going to be too deep, and probably a little narrow in the lower bout. Get the Newark Street case, it'll be a much better fit.

The Guild Newark St cases are not a bad deal at $120.00 IMO. They are not overpriced cheap import cases but genuine arched top TKL's...the same cases that come with MIJ Pro Series Gretsches and a lot of high end guitars.

Guild offered up a Promo code for free shipping on Apparel and Accessories. The promo ad showed cases so you might be able to get free shipping on a New Case from Guild. The promo code was "GUILDINSIDERSHIP" and is valid through May 15, 2015. Just use it at the checkout and it should give you free shipping. The case for the CE100D is listed as the same for the X175 and the A150 and should have the dimensions on the bottom of the page. Here is the link for the Guild Store Case Page. Good Luck!
