Kind of fell in love while looking for the perfect neck where I can get my thumb over but still wide enough for clean fingering. My first sunburst. Lovely tone. Really well balanced and lots of projection with bare fingers and not too much digging in.

Nice, Br1ck. Never heard of these before. Is that a brand name from the past or something? The headstock looks pretty old-timey.

Congrats!
I've read some good things about Iris guitars.
Small co in Vermont that's expanding.

I thought about special ordering. You can get the mini jumbo I bought with a NOS Guild top. But if I did that and maple like I thought about I would have been looking at another grand. Also I played that one and really liked it and in my short time playing and buying guitars I’ve learned not to discount that.

Congrats! Looks like the body dimensions are identical to a J-185. Is it short-scale too?
