Nice score. Looks like it sits nicely between the S300A and the other S100s with the close tailpiece.

Well played. Looks like a winner.

Indeed. Significant play wear, but not abused. Could have been taken a little better care of in terms of routine maintenance (it was filthy, especially the fretboard). It's a bit musty smelling, as is the case. Got a tip about some Fender-made case deodorizer I'm going to check out. Other than that, got it set up tonight. No TR adjustment needed. Intonation is almost there. Need to work on that a little more.

Anyone with a '70's model have a little flattening of notes on the 2nd fret in the D-string area? Seems to happen on all of mine. Maybe they need a little fretwork. Oh well, it'l throw some business to the Guitar Mama (new shop here up the road).

 have you tried kissing under your older 2 s-100 guitars? the engravings remind me of a mistletoe. (are they?) Very very nice guitar(s) though. Besides.... :!: GAS :!: (hurray for the first use of the acronym) is there a reason for having so many?
Cheers,
Drka
Upon some more reading there are some differences besides looks!
which is your favourite of the 3?

Yes: The cool kids club. And Q IS cool I must say.... he gassed me up on the vintage 73, and I will be eternally grateful to him for that!

I got it Q! (you can keep doing whatever it is that keeps you busy  )
The 73, of course! 8)

What's keeping me busy at the moment is work, but I have mobile LTG capabilities.

'73 was a good year for S-100's, as Bluesypicky and Thunderface will attest to. The only reason I rank that one above my '74 is the Grover tuners. They're definitely better than the Schaller-style Guild tuners on all my other guitars. The '75 is pretty damn sweet too. It just feels a little different with the closer tailpiece. So yeah, there are some minor differences. My justification for the two carved models is having one in E and one in D. But yeah, I have five guitars more than I realistically need, but I don't plan on leaving the "cool kids club" again anytime soon!

Acorns on Oak leaves. (I'm not really a 'leccie guy, just like to know what's up with 'em)

At first, I was finding it highly corny, but the more I see it, the more I grow into it....
So STOP SHOWING IT Q!!!!!
More GAS is the last thing I need right now (2 acoustics in 2 weeks.. but one sold too mind you. :D )

You mean "a-corny"?

Someone had to say it. Might as well be me.

 ba-dah-bum!

I didn't think much of the carvings at first either, but it's grown on me. Definitely cool. But probably wouldn't be cool on other guitars, right?
