[Bflan in a strange land]

Found this online but not on Reverb or eBay. Called the store and after some questions and discussion on price, made the purchase. After a quick setup today, I gave it a ride, and I’m pleased. It has the Fender HB-1s. Not sure if I’ll keep or replace. I’m in no rush to make a decision on that. They don’t sound bad to my ears. It’s in great shape and so is the hardshell.

congrats and enjoy! There's nothing wrong with those pickups. It's just one of those subjects that went off the rails online. Some people have reported they lowered the pole pieces, to get them where they needed. I have heard those pickups sound mighty fine, especially in hollow and semi hollows. So, if it aint broke, definitley do not fix. cheers!

Congrats Bflan! What beautiful maple on that SF. It appears to be in very clean condition. Looking forward to hearing more about it. I agree with Mav… experiment with it for a while before making changes.
