I gigged my Newark Series SF-IV last night and it suddenly dawned on me that this is now my go-to guitar. It does everything well, sounds and plays beautifully both clean and with overdrive, and stays in tune all night with just the occasional tweak. And it looks great! I always have people complimenting me on its appearance. One time, some guy in the crowd yelled, "I want that guitar. What is it?"

Really, the pickups in this guitar just sound amazing to my ears. And I love the way the guitar feeds back when I want it to.

The only problem: Now, I want another one! Maybe in green or black this time. I'm hooked. I have a lot of really good playing guitars, but this may be the best one I own.

I hope my new S-200 T-Bird can come close. It's in the shop having a setup as we speak.

The Starfire IV was my first Newark Street guitar. It was such a great guitar I've bought 4 more so far. It is an impressive lineup.

Wow, I couldn't agree more. I bought a cherry Newark Starfire IV about 7 months ago and it is amazing. I love the mini humbuckers pickups and the hollowbody combination. It has been the only guitar I pick up these days and I have a nice collection of Gibsons, Hamers, G&L's etc. As a comparison I had a great looking ES 335 a few years back. But for some reason it was just uninspiring to play and I sold it. The Starfire IV is exactly the opposite. Guild hits it out of the park with the Newark Series. I'm actually looking at other models as well. Great price points too!
